چکیده
Abstract Biomass pyrolysis performance is improved through co-pyrolysis with hydrogen rich plastic producing more liquid fuel products of higher quality. Furthermore, beyond the synergetic effect, in catalytic presence may facilitate contact between catalyst and biomass. In this study, effect pretreatment plastic/biomass was investigated, order to further improve above aims. The first method pre-degradation treatment at relatively low temperatures where solid state reactions alter structure but no volatile are formed. addition, a second used for cellulose, namely co-pressing cellulose particles into mixed pellets. Thermogravimetric results confirmed that reduced decomposition temperature cellulose. Pre-degradation diminished hindering cellulose-derived char/ catalyst-coke demonstrating significant interaction lldPE (linear density polyethylene) before charring/coking stage While absence catalyst, there minimal as molten layers around inhibited escape biomass-derived products, use along provided maximum pyrolysates which proceeded lower reaction without any hindrance from char/coke formation. increased yield associated increase yield. during decreased concentration on while amounts hard coke/char had accumulated pre-treated samples. Liquid product characterisation indicated effective converting aromatics. suggest pre-treatment processes have synergy thereby enhancing quantity quality desired product.

Enhancing biochar yield by co-pyrolysis of bio-oil with biomass: impacts of potassium hydroxide addition and air pretreatment prior to co-pyrolysis.
The influence of KOH addition and air pretreatment on co-pyrolysis (600 °C) of a mixture of bio-oil and biomass (aspen wood) was investigated with the goal of increasing biochar yield. The bio-oil was produced as a byproduct of the pyrolysis of biomass and recycled in subsequent runs. Co-pyrolysis of the biomass with the recycled bio-oil resulted in a 16% mass increase in produced biochar. The ...
متن کاملAn Investigation of Wood-Plastic Novolac Modified by Biomass Pyrolysis Oils
The possibility of using water insoluble fraction from biomass pyrolysis oil as additive in synthesis of Wood-Plastic novolac has been proved by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Fourier Transformed Infra Red (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Synthesis of novolac with different concentrations (10, 20 and 30 wt %) of water insoluble fraction were performed. It was found that mechanical p...

In the search for a renewable energy source that could replace petroleum and other nonrenewable energy sources, pyrolysis of biomass is a hopeful alternative and pretreatment could further improve its potential. There are several possible routes for pretreating lignocellulosic biomass, but many need further refining before becoming economical. The main obstacle for the conversion of biomass to ...
متن کاملLogistics and pretreatment of forest biomass
In large regions of the world, biomass is a very important source of energy. The global bioenergy market based on forest biomass is growing rapidly. About 92 % of the bioenergy in Sweden comes from forests. Biomass from forests is not homogenous. The locations, transport distances, and transport methods, can differ very much and the industries that need biomass as input prefer raw materials wit...
متن کاملProduction of methanol from biomass waste via pyrolysis.
The production of methanol from agricultural, forestry, livestock, poultry, and fishery waste via pyrolysis was investigated. Pyrolysis was conducted in a tube furnace at 450-500 °C. Sugarcane bagasse showed the methanol production (5.93 wt.%), followed by roots and sawdust with 4.36 and 4.22 wt.%, respectively. Animal waste offered the lowest content of methanol, as only 0.46, 0.80, and 0.61 w...
